Replacement or new location
Tell us whether a fan already exists at the location or whether the project starts with a light fixture or a completely new point. Ceiling height, access and the selected fan model help define the work.
Check controls and support
Explain how you want to control the fan and any integrated light: wall controls, a remote or the manufacturer’s system. Existing support and connections need assessment for the specific fan; a previous light installation is not enough information by itself.
Before the appointment
Have the complete fan kit and manufacturer instructions available if you are supplying the equipment. Share the number of fans and photos of the rooms from floor level. Do not remove existing equipment to prepare a photo.
